Into the Arms of a Stranger

Much as many of us would like to, it's generally frowned upon to spy on our neighbours. Maybe that's the secret behind the success of CTV's hit show Robson Arms, a half-hour comedy/drama that lets you peek into the lives of the residents of a fictional West End apartment building. It's voyeurism made socially acceptable.

And now it's back for a second season, which started last Saturday and continues tomorrow night. Each week's episode focuses on a different tenant so there are plenty of characters to love and hate. And plenty of cameos. Already we've seen Mark McKinney, Megan Follows, Will Sasso, Margot Kidder, Brent Butt and the Swollen Members on the show. This season, look out for Leslie Nielsen, Jann Arden, Patrick McKenna, Colin James and Svend Robinson (!?!).

Robson Arms airs Saturday nights at 9 p.m. on CTV, with rebroadcasts of the previous week's episode on the Comedy Channel Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m. Check out www.robsonarms.com for episode details and behind-the-scenes info.
