Whether you've read the book or not, you've probably been influenced by Eric Schlosser's exposé on the burger-and-fries industry, Fast Food Nation. Your friends read it, politicians read it, maybe even Mayor McCheese read it. Now it's getting the movie treatment as a "based-on-a-true-story" film centred around a marketing executive from the Mickey's fast food chain who investigates whether his company's burgers have any fecal content. That's poop, for you non-scientific folk.

This is a movie that will make you think--and possibly gag--but you just might be a better person for it. And don't worry, it'll surely be entertaining. For one, it doesn't feature Al Gore standing in front of a podium for an hour-and-a-half like some other snoozy movies. Two, Fast Food Nation was directed by Richard Linklater of ultra-hilarious Dazed and Confused and School of Rock fame. And three, its ensemble cast includes the ever-delightful Greg Kinnear refining the everyman persona he's played so well in recent movies like The Matador and Little Miss Sunshine.
