The latest offering from the Glowbal group is Italian Kitchen on Alberni. Elegant décor, interesting photographs and subdued lighting set the mood. The tables are fairly close together though, so on future visits we might opt for sitting upstairs, which seems more spacious.

There’s a lively amount of noise from the crowd - this place gets packed so reservations are recommended both for lunch and dinner.

For appetizers we recommend the Beef tenderloin carpaccio with polenta and the Zucchini blossoms filled with burrata cheese. Try the Spaghetti with Kobe meatballs or the Hand made gnocchi with wild mushrooms and pine nuts for an entrée. If you’re a desert person, check out their out-of-this-world Tiramisu.
