BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

You’ll flip for this phone

November 21, 2007

You’ve probably seen the ads on the sides of buses all over town.  Well, we couldn’t resist this new Double-flip phone from Samsung.

It’s called the Double-Flip because it’s a dual hinge phone - it opens two ways.  The clamshell lid can open both vertically as a traditional cell phone in portrait mode, and horizontally in landscape mode to reveal a hidden QWERTY keyboard for e-mail, text messaging and surfing the web.  It looks, and works, like a mini laptop.  Now how smart is that?

It packs great stereo speakers, a 1.3 megapixel camera and camcorder, Bluetooth 1.1 and support for MicroSD cards (128 MB card included).  Has loads of other great features too, like advanced voice dialing.

It’s been getting the vote of “best phone for texters.”  We love it for its sleek design, QWERTY keyboard and RAZR-like thinness.

It’s O.K. to be in to be in love with your phone, right?
