BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

Choco-Mania

October 31, 2007

Our main man, Thomas Haas, has launched a new line of Chocolate bars. And his smooth, rich moves have really taken our ‘relationship’ to the next level. The artisan chocolatier has crafted a batch of bars that blend cocoa bean varietals from several plantations as far away as the Ivory Coast, Venezuela, Bolivia, Tanzania and Peru. We like the sound of the “wild bars” which are 67% cocoa and made from only rare, wild harvested cocoa beans from the Bolivian rainforest. But if you’re a tea connoisseur, you’ve got to try the new “tea bar” series, which feature a more subtle cocoa taste with a hint of one of three types of tea. The matcha bar pairs white chocolate with high-grade green tea, the chai bar combines creamy milk chocolate with Darjeeling and Assam teas with a hint of cardamom and vanilla, and the rooibos and rose bar is a heavenly white chocolate with delicate floral notes. We may need to join Chocoholics Anonymous, after this. . .Available at Thomas Haas Fine Chocolates, Whole Foods Market, Urban Fare, Meinhardt’s, Stong’s Market, Edible British Columbia and Muzi Tea Bar.
