Red or White with That?

Wine and food pairings are sweeping both the foodie and fermented grape enthusiast subcultures, with both groups embracing a new way to appreciate each others’ favorite creations. Taylorwood Wines, a Yaletown mainstay, has been conducting pairing events over the past year, but with the temperature dipping and people cocooning they’ve shifted gears from cosmopolitan to comfort foods.

On Sunday, September 30th, Taylorwood will be pairing appropriate wines with such simple favorites as mac 'n cheese, chicken potpie, chili, and bread pudding. The ability of the food to warm both stomach and soul is enhanced by the glow of a suitable wine to compliment the meal. And best of all, the event is completely free.
