BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

Turning Japanese

September 26, 2007

The folks behind Shiru-Bay Chopstick Cafe in Yaletown have launched their latest creation – and it’s the newest Japanese izakaya to hit Vancouver.  Toratatsu Toratatsu OwnersJapanese Tapas Bistro has an interesting Tokyo pub vibe and serves up excellent Japanese-style tapas.  Among our fave dishes, we’ll mention that the Ebi Chili Mayo, Negitoro & Avocado tartare and the Tortilla Chicken with Spicy Ponzu are definitely worth trying.

This funky spot has opened in the old Clove restaurant location on Denman.  With booth-style seating and a cool and compact martini bar, Toratatsu has created an eclectic and interesting space in which to enjoy the small plate dishes that are all the rage these days.

Turning Japanese, we think we’re turning Japanese, we really think so…
