HOT PICKS [FRIDAY]

Deathly Funny

September 21, 2007

David Cross, who turned his alt-comic stylings into roles on "Mr. Show" and "Arrested Development" is back in Vancouver for this year’s ComedyFest. On September 20th, the festival brings "Comedy Death Ray," L.A.’s hit comedy show to the city, with a unique mix of standup, sketches, and brutally honest observational humour. The show stars Cross, Bob Odenkirk, Neil Hamburger, Maria Bamford and many more, and promises to be a laugh riot, with two showings (7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. at the Commodore Ballroom.)

Cross will also appear on Friday, September 21st at “Match Game,” a new version of the old 1970’s game show. "Match Game" takes place at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, with shows at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Where:
Commodore Ballroom, 868 Granville St. and Vancouver East Cultural Centre, www.comedyfest.com
When: Commodore on Thursday, September 20th at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., Vancouver East Cultural Centre at 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
