VANCOUVER TRENDZ [THURSDAY]

Nine to Five

September 20, 2007

With work trends such as telecommuting, outsourcing and working remotely on the rise, freelancers are looking around their home offices and noticing things are getting a little cramped. Some of Vancouver’s high-tech startups have taken matters into their own hands and out of the ashes of necessity, Workspace was born.

WorkspaceWorkspace is an open-concept series of offices and meting rooms, designed for small companies that need a place to meet and work but don’t require a traditional suite of offices. And they’ve just hit their first year in operation, so they’re celebrating with a birthday bash that’s open to the public.

On Friday, September 21st, from 8:00 p.m. until late, Workspace welcomes you with cake, drinks, and dancing until the lights go out. And who knows? You might even decide it’ll be a great place to work.

Where: 21 Water Street, www.abetterplacetowork.com

When: Friday, September 21st, 8:00 p.m. until late

Have you entered this week's Contest yet? You could win four tickets to Music in the Morning’s presentation of the Gryphon Trio with guest Barry Shiffman. And how sweet are you after yesterday's Brand New?
