Vancouver is a world centre for game development, film and animation work. But what do hard-core animators and video game wizards do when they’re not creating their own, amazing worlds? Probably take in the Animation Show at Vancity Theatre on Seymour and Davie. The event showcases films from England, the US, and France, and runs the gamut from simple hand-drawn whimsy to high-tech computer animation and from comedy to tragedy. The films are unrated, but older children will probably enjoy the full spectrum of shorts offered.

When: September 15th and 16th, 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Tickets $9.50 at the box office.
