BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

Quit Noodling About

June 6, 2007

This Kitsilano secret is worth the bus – or bike - ride across the bridge.

The Noodle BoxThe Noodle Box was recently exported from Victoria, where the owners have two successful eateries by the same name. These guys use a fusion of Asian cooking techniques. Order from the counter, then grab a table, or hang out and watch the woks-a-fryin’ and take yours to go. It’s fast, the food is packed with flavour, plus it comes in those cool Chinese take-away boxes with the wire handle.

The room is spacious and light, the music is funky and the big open kitchen offers a great view of some serious Asian cooking action. This place is picking up steam, call ahead for take-away since there’s often a line up. Oh, and one box will more than fill you up.

They offer some appetizers, eight or nine stir-fries, a handful of soups and curries, and a house special that changes regularly. Our faves? The Black Bean & Garlic with chicken, the Spicy Peanut with prawn, and the Vietnamese spring rolls.

That’s it, we’re full just thinking about it.
