BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

I can see for miles and miles. . .

May 30, 2007

Sometimes we take our beautiful city for granted.

Vancouver ViewWhich is why we recently took a trip down to Harbour Centre and rode the exterior glass elevator up to Vancouver Lookout’s newly renovated observation deck. With a spectacular 360-degree view from 50 storeys above street level, you have a bird’s eye view of Vancouver, the harbour and the mountains.

They’ve knocked down walls, painted the place to match the landscape and introduced informative exhibits on Vancouver landmarks and the Port of Vancouver. As well, there’s a new, retractable glass wall on one side to create a stunning meeting space for events and shows. There’s also a revamped coffee bar up there, should the need arise.

Our suggestion? Grab a date and get up there in time to watch the sun set. Marvel about how gorgeous the city looks, and you might get a few compliments of your own.
