Who are you calling twits? Well, lots of people actually. About 100,000 to date.

Twitter is the latest and greatest blogging tool whose users are aptly referred to as “Twits”. It began in California - an offshoot of a podcast-sharing site. The founder previously created the well-known blogging portal, Blogger.

Seems these days there are ever-increasing ways to enjoy multimedia socializing. Twitter’s part in this play is short and sweet. Essentially, people’s posts all answer the same question – what are you doing right now?

Once you sign up and create your network of friends and strangers you can find out what everyone is doing, at any given moment. You can update from your phone, through Instant Messenger, or from the web. And because we’ve all got people to see and places to go, posts are limited to 140 characters. Perfect!
