Whoever said there would never be an opportunity in this town for men to become go-go dancers will soon be eating their words. Yep, you heard that right. Local producer Terry Costa is accepting applications for the Vancouver’s Next Go-Go Boy Star contest. To enter, you must be Canadian, from Greater Vancouver, and at least 19.

To refresh your memory, go-go dancers are employed to entertain at clubs. It all came about in the ‘60s, when women at New York’s Peppermint Club began getting up on the tables to dance the twist.

If you’d love nothing more than to climb up on a nightclub table and shake your moneymaker, send a photo (one full-body, and one upper-body or headshot) and a letter detailing your dance experience to info@mirateca.com, until May 10.

In the meantime, you’ll need to prepare a two-minute dance routine to wow the judges. Finalists will put on a show at Celebrities Nightclub in July. Proceeds going to the Friends for Life Society, which you means you can do good while looking damn hot.
