Money isn’t everything??

Five local girls gave us something to think about on Oprah a few weeks back.

Last year, this group of Vancouver friends formed The Smart Cookies, a club that meets weekly to talk about money! Young, in debt, and with no strategy to save for the future, these girls made a pact and a plan to turn it all around.

They’ve found ways to cut their debt, slash their spending, double their earning potential, seriously start saving, and even investing.

Their ideas aren’t revolutionary, but they are inventive, and most importantly, they work. Even small changes make a difference. From selling your clothes at consignment shops, to switching cell phone plans, the dollars add up.

And have they hit the press, or what? The media loves these women. They’ve been on Global, CTV News, Breakfast Television, Studio 4, Canada AM, Urban Rush, and are appearing soon on Entertainment Tonight Canada.
