BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

Like the sound of your own voice?

February 20, 2008

Microsoft has created a technology that enables you to control your cell phone and your portable music player using the power of your own vocal chords and Bluetooth technology.  And the beauty is that this all goes down while you’re driving. . .

That’s right.  The technology platform is called Sync, and it’s available in 12 cars across the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury lines.  And for non Bluetooth compatible devices, like an iPod or a Zune, there’s a USB connector built in.

Easily download your cell phone's address book in to the car's onboard memory. Call your friends and family by simply saying “dial Frank” or “dial Mom”.  Even command a favourite tune by name.

Say what?
