BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

PlayStation Phone Home

February 6, 2008

Gamers everywhere know PSP.  But did you know it now comes with a Skype connection?  The newest twist from Sony’s PlayStation Portable  is that users everywhere can access Skype features and services thanks to a simple software upgrade.  Skype uses Wi-Fi so this is no pricey cell phone ploy.  It’s easy and super cheap, so strap on your Bluetooth headset and phone away.

Services include free voice calls between Skype users, contact list management, SkypeOut, which allows users to make calls to landlines and mobile phones, and optional SkypeIn, which enables users to receive Skype calls from landlines and mobile phones for a fee.

The PSP system already brings you almost everything you could hope for – gaming, video, music, photos, network access and RSS – so the Skype addition is like icing on an awesome cake!

Game on.

See yesterday's Weekend Guide so you don't go "Bananas" trying to figure out if you'd rather see the "Rat" or some "Meteors" this weekend. Have you entered this week's Contest yet? Win a $100 Gift Certificate to Book Warehouse.
