BRAND NEW [WEDNESDAY]

We Pinky Swear it’s Good

January 9, 2008

New kid on the Yaletown block is Pinkys Steakhouse and Cocktail Lounge.  In the old LK Dining Lounge spot, the restaurant is just past the high traffic area on Hamilton Street, but in our opinion well worth seeking out.

The name Pinkys was inspired by a 1960’s steakhouse in Scottsdale Arizona called the Pink Pony, well known for serving great steak in a comfy environment.

Serving up Sterling Silver Beef in a selection of cuts and sizes paired with scallop potatoes, horseradish mashed potatoes, pasta and more, Pinkys will not disappoint.  Booths or tables available, chairs are adorned in gorgeous fabrics, and the low lighting and interesting wall treatments create a nice ambience.

Can’t finish your steak?  No problem.  For $3 Pinkys will slice your leftover beef on to a fresh baguette with lettuce, tomato and horseradish and wrap it up for tomorrow’s lunch.

Pinkys Steakhouse and Cocktail Lounge, 1265 Hamilton Street, (between Davie and Drake), 604-732-9545, www.pinkyssteakhouse.com.
