We’ve just heard through the grapevine that CBC is auditioning for a new host to replace Tim Blanks on Fashion File. Even cooler? Auditions are in our city today and tomorrow. And it’s an open casting call, anyone with a passion for fashion can show up to strut their stuff.

Fashion File: Host Hunt – yes, they’re doing a reality spin-off show about it – is travelling the country with their cameras, testing hopefuls on their fashion knowledge, style and hosting abilities. Ten finalists will then be flown to Toronto to compete for this pretty cool job.

Even if you don’t get the gig, you might get your 15 seconds of fame on Fashion File: Host Hunt, which airs on CBC this January.

Imagine travelling the globe, getting the buzz on trendsetters and fashion newsmakers, meeting celebrated designers, and visiting the hallowed halls of design power-houses like Gucci, Chanel and Prada. Heck, why are we telling you about this? The job is ours. . . Beat you there.
