Brand New [WEDNESDAY]

Gorgeous Gear

Wednesday, August 23, 2006

We all love to be socially conscious and environmentally friendly. But up until now, shopping for environmentally responsible clothes could mean a wardrobe full of nasty, ill-fitting, 'potato sack' pieces.

Well don't get your organic panties in a knot. . . Lululemon recently launched a sister line, called Oqoqo, that's all about natural, organic and sustainable materials that don't compromise style.

Fabrics used are made from soy, hemp, bamboo, organic cotton, and polyester made from recycled pop bottles. Their soy-based fabrics, which are some of the softest in the industry, are best described as "vegetable cashmere".

Check out their Underlux collection - underwear made from boolux (blend of bamboo and spandex for comfort), in all the styles: 'commando' thong, 'layer me' bra with a t-back, 'barely a tube' bra, and more.

And don't miss their new Q-denim line - organic cotton denim blended with a touch of lycra for eco-chic fit and comfort. Every pound of organic cotton means about 1/3 pound less chemicals and pesticides in the soil, people. Woohoo!

Let's make being green the new black.
