Brand New [WEDNESDAY]

From the Farm to your Door

Wednesday, August 2, 2006

Living in a city has its benefits. But don’t you sometimes wish you could eat your fruit and veg straight out of the earth?

Well dream no longer, my friend. Recently launched Twin Berry Farms delivers freshly picked blueberries from their 163 acre farm in Pitt Meadows direct to you at your office building in Vancouver. And 15% of each purchase goes to the charity of your company’s choice. Now how’s that for fresh thinking?

The berries come in 5 pound boxes – the size of a small shoe box – and at a handful a day, can last the average person just over a week. Cost is $3 a pound, which includes delivery charges if the folks in your company band together to purchase 20 or more 5 pound boxes.

Now let’s see. Blueberries delivered to you less than 32 hours after they’re picked. Or grocery store blueberries, often delivered to stores 3-6 days after the fact. Hmmmm. . .

Nature’s fast food, delivered fresh to your door. Don’t know about you, but we’re feeling healthier already.
